I happened to be watching Rosemary’s Baby, which first inspired “Rosemary.” That quickly led me to Scarborough Fair — “parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme” — and I found myself drawn to Sage.Eight months later, when I became independent, I needed a surname. I chose Hunter.Together, Sage Hunter has come to mean a seeker of wisdom — a name that has grown alongside me and feels more fitting with each passing year.What do you love most about what you do?More than anything, I love caring for people.I enjoy creating a space where someone can set aside the weight of everyday life, feel completely at ease, and simply be present. Whether we’re sharing an adventure, a quiet dinner, meaningful conversation, or laughter that lasts for hours, my greatest joy comes from helping people reconnect with happiness, curiosity, and themselves.If our time together leaves you feeling lighter than when we met, then I’ve done exactly what I set out to do.What’s your idea of a perfect day off?My life is wonderfully full — between work, travel, being an auntie, caring for my family, spoiling my dog, and making time for my own health, I rarely have a day that’s entirely my own.So if I have the chance to truly unwind, you’ll almost always find me at a spa. A day of peace, quiet, and being thoroughly pampered is my favourite form of self-care. If you ask me, being gifted a spa day is one of the sweetest love languages. 😅If not the spa, then my perfect day is beautifully simple: quality time with my dog, my family, and nowhere in particular that I need to be.What do you like to do in your off time?You’ll almost always find me with a book nearby — reading is one of my favourite ways to unwind. I love creating little moments around it, whether that means finding a beautiful restaurant to enjoy a meal and a few chapters, or heading outdoors for a quiet hike surrounded by nature.I grew up in a tropical climate despite being born in Canada, so I’ve always felt drawn to the water. If there’s a shoreline, a lake, or an ocean nearby, chances are you’ll find me there.I also love the simple pleasures of home life — baking, reorganizing spaces, creating a cozy environment, and all the little rituals that make a house feel like home. Somewhere deep inside, there’s a very happy “Suzy Homemaker” who loves making things beautiful.Where do you see yourself in 10 years?I picture a slower, more intentional life surrounded by nature. I’d love to be living somewhere more rural — a cozy cottage or cabin with a greenhouse where I can grow my own food and spend my days creating something meaningful.My dream is to have a small pickling business that carries me into retirement, built around the simple joys of homemade traditions and sharing something I’ve created with others.I imagine a wraparound porch where I can sit with Bear and our many outdoor cats, curled up in a cozy chair with a cup of coffee while listening to the rain.
